Islam 101

This section is dedicated to providing a better understanding of Islam, but it is still under construction and content will be added continually.

What is Islam?

Islam is surrendering oneself to God. The word Islam derives from a word meaning “peace.” By surrendering oneself to God, a person finds peace. Islam is over 1400 years old and is an Abrahamic faith like Christianity and Judaism. Islam is the second largest religion in the world; it is also the fastest growing religion in the world. Muslims consider Islam more than just a religion - it is a way of life.
