The Churches Were Burning…

and Muslims had attacked them.

I was sad to read this. How can Muslims attack the house of God?

An excerpt from an article at IslamiCity titled ‘Relations with Christians according to Muhammad’ follows:

“Stronger than the book are the words of Prophet Muhammad himself with regard to Christianity. In 628 CE he sent a charter of freedom to the monks of St. Catherine Monastery in Mt. Sinai. If Pope Benedict XVI or his speech writers had looked at this document they would have found a different image of the Prophet.

Here is the letter written to the monks. This letter was written at a time when no one was talking about freedom of religion, pluralism or protection of human life.

Here is a letter from our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to Christians:

“This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them. Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them. Read more…

Man’s Return Home to the Original Source

Excerpted from The Secret of Secrets

Man is considered from two points of view: his material being and his spiritual being. In the appearance of material being everyone in more or less equal. Therefore, in this being, hidden behind his appearance, each preson is different.

Therefore special private laws apply to him. Man, in accordance with general laws, by following certain steps can return to his origin. To take these steps, he follows the evident ordinances of our religion as a guide; following them, he advances.

Rising from level to level he may reach the stage of the spiritual path, passing into the realm of wisdom. That is a very high state. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) praises this state saying, ‘There is a state in which all and everything is gathered – and it is the divine wisdom.’

I was taking the train to work in the morning one day, half asleep and hungry. I had gotten up ten minutes earlier in a panic and had no time to eat – I think getting up in the morning for work would be less stressful if humans could inhale food or even absorb it through their skin. As a consequence of waking up late I had to catch a few extra minutes of sleep while standing up in the train. In my semi delirium I was thinking of 7 – grain pancakes, which I had recently discovered while brunching at Smitty’s, and warm maple syrup when in the foggy distance I heard the word ‘Arab.’ Read more…
