I got a very interesting document that is more than 1000 years old. Please follow the link to see it:

    http://picasaweb.google.com/dmkhalikov/Pergament

Two pictures are scanned and the other two are photographs.

This pergament has been written on a piece of young camel skin. It was found recently on the boundary of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
The almost identical pergament is kept in one of the museums in Uzbekistan and has been certified by UNESCO, and it’s age is about 1500 years.
Unfortunately nobody among us can read ancient Arabic. If you have any suggestions about meaning of those words please email me.

    Thank You

    Salam Alakium,

Thanks for the note on that sister. I can’t believe I didn’t notice that in the background, but I’ve been known to think a picture of a flower was a finger, so this is my usual 😉 Thanks for pointing it out.

  17. Asalamu alaykum,

Nice picture but your post title is a bit misleading, no?
Because also outlined behind the black letters are the words Muhammad [sal Allahu alayhi wa sallam] is the Messenger of Allah. But it’s all good and I like concise titles anyway.
