    When his voice emanates from the radio waves or the cassettes of the Koran, everyone recognizes the identity of this respected recitor, who became, after a long luminous path, the Master of a school distinguished in art from the recitation of The Noble Koran. Between his birth in 1917 and his death 63 years later, he stuck to the acquisition of all sciences in relation to The Noble Koran.

    The happiest moments of his life were those that passed with the verses of the Wise Revelation, with its being and its knowledge.

    Sheikh Mahmûd Khalîl Al-Hosarî was not satisfied to be simply a recitor whose voice makes the heart vibrate, there are many beautiful voices but which among them leave such an impact on the listeners? The recitation according to him is governed by rules and principles. And since his more tender childhood, he was impassioned by the science of Recitation (`ilm Al-qirâ’ ât) so that he became a dominating figure of this art. By doing this, he always kept with the spirit the word of the Messenger of Allah- peace and blessing on him -: the best among you is that which learns The Koran and teaches it to others.

    He was a Master recitor, versed in the literature who contributed to the enrichment of the Islamic library by the many works and lessons like the several tens of conferences given in the Egyptian, Arab and Islamic universities. But he worked for a more noble mission; that of the safeguarding of the Book of God from all corruption and deformation. Indeed, he was with the head of the entire récitateurs of the Islamic world during twenty years and was a member of the Academy of Research Islamic gathering the Parliament of the Large Al-Azhar Scientists.

    Works treating of sciences Koranic
    It is true that each qâri’ (Master-récitateur) is unique and leaves the listener with a taste and a clean sensitivity reflecting themselves on their audience. But Sheikh AlHosarî remains more knowledgeable of them and the more tested in the art of recitation. Indeed, he had a wide knowledge of sciences of the tafsîr and hadîth, and wrote several works in the field of sciences of Koran published and distributed by the Higher Council of the Islamic Businesses. Sheikh had a sensitivity exacerbated by the literature, the thought and culture in a general way, and literature of the voyage in particular.

    In the foreword of his book Ma`a Al-Qur’ ân Al-Karîm, Sheikh MyHmûd Shaltût, great Imâm of Al-Azhar at the time, wrote of him: “God granted to many people the benefits of this world and beyond and granted happiness to them in these two residences by the right way, the way of the koranic Saint. They learned, recited and honoured it as it should be. They did not have truce to serve it and found in him happiness because he always guides them towards the Truth and the Right Way “. Sheikh Shaltût continues: “Among these, I knew our son Mahmûd Khalîl AlHosarî. I found in him an excellent recitor, fearing God with a fear reverential in his recitation and according to the methodology of the piles Salaf in the reading of the Book of Allah without ever deviating any. His recitation fills the hearts with peace, safety and quietude and opens with his audience the way of the guidance “.

    Initiatives and efforts of Sheikh MyHmûd Khalîl AlHosarî did not stop there: one owes him the recording of The Koran according to way of Tartîl (gives rhythm fast) according to the lectionnaire of HafS and according to the lectionnaire of Warsh like Qâlûn and AD-Dûrîand this, for a country where these lectionaries are widespread. Moreover, he carried out a recording teaching of the Saint Koran (Al-MoHSaf Al-Mo`allim) as well as a disc for the training of the prayer. Since his foundation, the Radio operator of the Koran Saint (in Cairo) exclusively diffused it during ten years as regards Tartîl and this bound for more than one billion Muslims in the world.

    Near Mosque AHmadienne

    Sheikh Mahmûd Khalîl AlHosarî was influenced by his beginnings near Mosque AHmadienne with TyearTâ. Fact, that it mawlid of Have-Sayyid Ahmad Al-Badawî is one of larger mawlild of the country, he influenced the personality of many personalities of this area in a way or another. Indeed, TyearTâ knows an annual festival during one whole week where the large ones contribute writers and artists in gatherings open to the public among the children of city and the guests who flow there. Repercussions of such festivals last until the festival of the following year enriching the culture and taste of the children of the area. This contributed to reinforce the many ones talents which were made known by their creativities, activities and among them Sheikh AlHosarî.

    Divergence about his voice

    If it is a dissension around the voice of this recitor and of his technique of interpretation, some are transcended by it and others see things differently. However, such a dissension does not reach in any way the Egyptian countryside where people reserve a particular admiration to him. Of the end of High-Egypt until the extreme limits of the delta, people are attached to this Sheikh like a drug.

    ‘Not’ with sung interpretation

    Sheikh AlHosarî avoided interpretation carefully of term “singing” of The Koran. Thus his recitation was always strictly controlled by the known scientific rules authorized by the scientists and the Masters of the recitation such as HafS, Warsh and others. He succeeds in deviating and fleeing the style of “sung” during recitation, this same style which leads the audience to the excitation and to noisy acclamations by excess of emotion. Such an excitation could in effect; divert the spirits of the meditation and the deepening of Koranic message which requires receptivity in a calm and peaceful environment. Such is the school where Sheikh AlHosarî reaches the top of control and accepted all the honours.

    Good technique of recitation

    Sheikh AlHosarî was known for sound tartîl of the Koran, the technique which from his point of view is most correct and most legitimate as many other scientists of the recitation confirm it. He says to this regard: tartîl gives body to each word in a way without any ambiguity, a thing which can arrive in a pure interpretation “sung” where the words are subjected to a certain musical quality being opposed to its necessary essential noise footprint for the realization direction. And if one feels during “sung” interpretation an excitation resulting from melody saturation, one feels with opposite during tartîl a quietude and a reverential fear (khushûC) exit of the radiation of the message of the Koran Saint.

    Another occasion, he defended his style of recitation of the Saint Saying Koran: “it tartîl us directly in comparison with the Koranic text. It puts to us in position of positive listening in a pure debate intellectual who responsabilise that which listens. Whereas the beauty of “sung” restitution impresses passages of meditations by one wrap gaiety, the beauty of the restitution by tartîl is more difficult and restores the direction more accurately because its origin is before all the text Koranic itself and not the musical rate/rhythm “.
    Thus, Sheikh AlHosarî was convinced throughout its life that it tartîl is not only one whole of rule of recitation that one can learn that each one can learn how to become one of the voices approved and authorized with the radio. tartîl is not only one art very complex and very precise but it requires in-depth studies in old linguistics and Arab dialects, like in interpretation, vocal and lectionaries. It also requires an extremely significant voice able of to make nuances of stamp extremely fine. All this covered the Al voice HOSarî a beauty and one will have and a capacity to recognize the direction of the verses with not that the Moslem people not Arabic-speaking people included/understood AlHosarî and went to the meeting of Koran through its voice. It was a characteristic that God allotted to the voice of this recitator, which contributed to its recognition in the whole world.

    Its birth with Shubrâ Year-Namlah

    Sheikh MyHmûd Khalîl AlHosarî was born in Shubrâ Year-Namlah, a village in the area of Tantâ. It memorized front the Koran Saint the eleven years age at the Koranic school of its village. It moved then towards Mosque AHmadienne, the destination of the students of all source seeking the knowledge and aiming at appronfondir the principles of Koranic recitation and of the tajwîd between the hands of professors honoured like DrivenStafâ Al-Murawwij. It spent several years there before obtaining ijâzah (qualification) of its professor as a recitator and a scientist. It devoted then to the teaching of sciences of Lectionaries (qirâ’ ât), Jurisprudence (fiqh) and of the Interpretation (to tafsîr) before to cut through a path towards the public to make them listen to Koran of its beautiful voice and the excellent interpretation which is his.

    Within Al-Azhar Ash-Sharîf

    Sheikh MyHmûd Khalîl AlHosarî continued its studies at the Al-Azhar University because, very early, it was conscious that its role of recitator and of dâCiyah (that which makes the daCwah) must start from solid scientific bases. Then, before cutting through a path among the famous récitateurs of the time, it increased its knowledge near noble professors and scientists within Al-Azhar and accompanied them in theirs meetings and conferences of the Al-Husayn district, the place of meeting of thinkers, artists and intellectuals and also the point of multitude of récitateurs, of the creative hymnodies and of mubtahilîn. It drew from it medium of much secrecy of sciences of Koran and of tajwîd.

    The first with the radio

    Without surprise, AlHosarî was classified first with the contest radio Egyptian woman in 1944. It forced the admiration of the Entrance Board which transfers in him natural prolongation of the giants of the recitation who occupied scene at that time like Driven SheikhHammad Rif, Sheikh ` Alî MyHmûd and Sheikh ` Abd Al-FattâH Ash-Sha`shâ`î.

    When its voice resounds for the first time on the waves of the radio Egyptian woman, it accepted a broad appreciation for her single style and sound respect without fault of the principles of tajwîd.     The recitator appointed of Al mosque Husayn

    Sheikh MyHmûd Khalîl AlHosarî remained it appointed recitator of Mosque AHmadienne during ten years, period when it forged an exceptional fame for a recitator of its age. Then, in 1955, the Al-Awqâf Ministry named it as a recitator of Al mosque Husayn (the grandson of the Prophet – that the peace of God and Its greetings are on him) where it spent 29 consecutive years until sound death. For this period, it confirmed its genius and its merit of this station coveted by all the récitateurs with the powerful voice and able to have public.

    Chief of Récitateurs and others functions

    Sheikh AlHosarî occupied various stations at the Institution General of Récitateurs of Egypt. Initially, he was an inspector of the récitateurs. Then, it occupied the stations of assistant of the direction before becoming the chief about it in 1961. He became also member of the Committee of Correction of Masâhif as of 1959, he became the deputy manager about it in 1962, and then he took the direction of it. Then, it was named expert with the Academy of Islamic Research for Businesses of the Koran Saint in 1967. He was the first recitator to record it Koran according to the technique of the tartîl in the lectionnaire of HafS according to ` Âsim in 1961 then in the lectionnaire of Warsh according to Nâfi` in 1964, then in the lectionnaire of Qâlûn and AD-Dûrî for the countries where they are used in 1968. In the same year, it recorded Koran according to the technique teaching of Al-Driveshaft Al-Mu`allim.

    Medals and decorations

    In its long course, it obtained various medals and decorations and was honoured by many Moslem countries and foreigners to which it returned visit. It was distinguished by the leaders, the kings and the presidents. It accepted inter alia the medal of honour of sciences and arts of president Nasser in 1967 and president of the World Islamic League ofRécitateurs was elected of Koran. It had the occasion to recite the Koran Saint in front of American Congress and the United Nations. Thanks to him, God guided tens of people with run of its voyages abroad. It remained throughout its life one researcher, writer, thinker and one of the great personality’s public of Egypt, Arab and Islamic world. Sheikh AlHUSarî is one the most erudite récitateurs and most experienced in the art of recitation and one of the best experts of sciences of to tafsîr and hadîth. This is why it accepted the Al-Azhar diploma of the ten lectionaries of Koran in 1958.

    The Al willHOSarî

    Sheikh MyHmûd Khalîl AlHosarî remained faithful to its initial mission: it was faithful to the Book of Allah by the memory and by the action. It bequeathed the creative third of its fortune to the subsidy of project and the construction of a mosque with Al-`Agouzah in Cairo, mosque proposing with public various religious, medical and social services managed by his/her son Dr.. Mohammad AlHosarî, the known dentist. It envisaged in its will them expenditure of the mosque which it made build with TyearTâ as well as three Islamic institutes and the library of memorizing of the Koran Saint and other projects which it left with the service of the public in its Subrâ village Year-Namlah.

    ‘ None’ with the private receptions

    His/her son, Dr.. Mohammad AlHosarî, affirms that sound father invariably refused to recite Koran in private evenings and took care carefully of its voice and its audience and was faithful to sound daily practice of reading of Koran according to the calendarhégirien. Thus, the 10 of the month of rajab, it read chapter 10 of Koran ands on. That Allah makes him mercy.
